AML & Sanctions Screening Design, Assistant Vice President, Hybrid
Who we are looking for
State Street Bank & Trust is looking for AML & Sanctions Screening Design, Assistant Vice President, Hybrid, to join the AML (Anti-Money Laundering) Innovations team in Quincy, Massachusetts's. This role is responsible for driving, in conjunction with Business Units, Business Unit Aligned AML Officers and the AML & Sanctions Platforms team, the implementation of the State Street screening program.This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for
As AML & Sanctions Screening Design, AVP, you will
• Be responsible for AML & Sanctions screening effectiveness and efficiency
• Jointly with Sanctions Compliance and Financial Intelligence Unit, provide input into the tuning methodology and implementation for State Street's AML and sanctions screening systems
• Supporting initiatives to improve (and provide assurance as to) the effectiveness of State Street's screening systems
• Supporting initiatives to improve the efficiency of State Street's screening systems (e.g. implementation of robotics and machine learning functionality)
• AML & Sanctions screening projects
• Working with Business Units and their Business Unit Aligned AML Officers to assess possible AML & sanctions screening gaps, or new products and systems possibly requiring screening, the associated sanctions risks and whether screening is required
• Working with Sanctions Compliance and Financial Intelligence Unit, to prioritize screening projects to ensure use of available resources in the most effective and efficient manner
• Working with Business Units, their Business Unit Aligned AML Officers and the AML & Sanctions Platforms team to design screening solutions for identified screening gaps or new products and systems requiring screening. This would include:
-Recommending appropriate types of screening (e.g. real time transaction screening or batch entity screening)
-Identifying relevant data for screening
-Identifying and assessing any non-standard screening elements and whether any exemption or exception is required under the Global Sanctions Policy or AML Master Procedure Template

Education & Preferred Qualifications
• Undergraduate college degree
• Previous AML / sanctions compliance experience in the financial services sector, preferably involving screening as a risk mitigant
• Good working knowledge of AML / BSA / sanctions requirements

Salary Range:
$80 000 - $132 500 Annual
